Welcome to Al-Maha Desert Resort and Spa, Dubai

Al Maha is just a short 65km drive from Dubai along the Dubai / Al Ain Road but it’s a whole world away from the bustle of city life.  Amid impressive dunes and lush date palms, Al Maha welcomes you into a private sanctuary that offers seclusion, tranquillity and exclusive luxury in equal measures.  From the minute you enter the peaceful desert reserve you will feel inspired by the landscape and enriched by your desert experiences.

Dubai is one of the world’s fastest growing urban areas and the local government was keen to conserve the city’s original habitat.  Thus Dubai Desert Reserve was created, which covers 225 square kilometres of protected dunes.

As the only Desert Resort and Spa in the Reserve, Al Maha blends perfectly with the rolling sand dunes and its environment. Built in the style of an ancient Bedouin settlement, its 42 individually appointed guest Suites offer unsurpassed luxury and exclusive access to the Reserve.  Tourist flow is strictly controlled and only guests of Al Maha have the opportunity to experience Arabian nights in the Reserve.

Conservation of the flora, fauna, culture and heritage of the Arabian Desert is at the heart of everything Al Maha does. This core value of sustainability has been acknowledged by National Geographic and Conservation International's World Legacy Award.
